| March 20 the Plainfield Rotary will again sponsor a Country
Western Talent Show, "Catch a Rising Star" at the Plainfield
High School Auditorium at 7:00. This is a sold out event. Tickets will
be available at Wonderland Book store in Putnam, DVTV in Central
Village, Music Center of Norwich and Danielson Surplus. |

| On April 10, Plainfield will hold the annual Miss Plainfield
Pageant (PIMA) will be held at the Plainfield High auditorium. This
event allows the club to give scholarships to graduating seniors. |

| Plainfield is making plans for the annual "Stories in
the Park" on Wednesday evening June 30 at the Plainfield Town
Hall. There are theme tables at which stories are read with
corresponding activities, as well as entertainment by
"T-Bone" Tom Stankus. Books are given out to the
preschool-third graders attending. |
