Plainfield-- will sponsor the 3rd annual "Stories in the
Park" on July 11. T-Bone will entertain at the Plainfield Town
Hall Park. There will be tables with the "Camping" theme,
manned by Rotarians, who will read stories to coincide with the theme.
Books will be given out to each child. This event is to encourage
literacy, aimed at the pre-school to third grade child, and literature
is given to parents emphasizing the importance of reading.

Southwick -- BBQ Competition Sunday July 27th at the
Southwick rec. center. Contest open to individuals, clubs and
businesses. Celebrity judges, entertainment, cash prizes: $300-1st
Prize, $200-2nd Prize, $100-3rd Prize. (Increased participation in the
event may result in higher prize payouts). Opens to public at noon.

New Milford will again have its famous fried dough booth at New
Milford Village Fair Days, July 25-26 on the Village Green. Hours
are 10am-9pm both days.
