Let's Take Kids Out To The Ball Game... To End Polio!

Who doesn’t like a ballgame? On May 29, your club can help end Polio while giving a fun night out to children and young people who might not otherwise have that opportunity.
District 7890 and the New Britain Rock Cats are proud to offer our Rotary clubs an opportunity to purchase special $3 tickets for nonprofit organizations that work with children and young adults in need for End Polio Now Night on Friday, May 29 at the Rock Cats game.
To participate, all your club has to do is contact your local organizations (for example, the YMCA, the YWCA, boys & girls clubs and group homes) and find out how many tickets they would need for the children or young people in their care. The organizations will be responsible for transportation and chaperones.
If you don’t have such an organization or group home in your community, the Rock Cats can help you find a group to help. The team gets many requests each year for tickets from agencies that cannot afford them. Just let us know.
Clubs are encouraged to submit photos and publicize the donation of tickets. The deadline to purchase these special tickets online is April 30. The special $3 ticket price is general admission, and not to be confused with regular priced tickets, which will be $22 for picnic and a ticket or $12 for a game ticket only. Regular tickets are for reserved seats, and $4 of each regular ticket on May 29 will benefit End Polio Now.
