Andrew McQuaide Guest Speaker at District Conference
Would you like to learn more on how people are trying to turn back the tide of violence in our schools and other areas? The 7890 District Conference, April 26-28, will feature Andrew McQuaide. Andrew is a certified Kingian Nonviolence Trainer and Senior Trainer with the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Andrew was a student of Dr. Bernard LaFayette, Jr., the former executive staff member to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee co-founder. At the request of Dr. LaFayette, Andrew coordinated the URI Center for Nonviolence and Peace Studies International Nonviolence Summer Institute from 2006-2009 and has since co-facilitated the Level II portion of the Institute alongside Dr. LaFayette.
