It was another fantastic Rotary Night at the Rock Cats on Friday, May 13.  Over 200 Rotarians participated in the fun filled event which included marching in the pre-game parade with club banners, enjoying an "All You Can Eat Barbecue Picnic", throwing out the first pitch, singing God Bless America during the 7th inning and then sitting back and watching the spectacular fireworks at the end of the game!  It was a picture perfect night. On top of it all, the Rock Cats defeated the Portland Sea Dogs 2-0. PDG Frank Wargo who was there with his family and grandchildren exclaimed  "Watching my two grandchildren throw out the first pitch was worth the cost of admission."

A special thank you to DG Prasad Menon who led the pre-game parade and also wrote the Rotary script which was read over the loudspeaker during the parade.  Many kudos to Gil Wishard of the East Hartford Club for his work in recruiting members.  The East Hartford Club topped the clubs in attendance with 68 members! Thank you to the following clubs who participated:  Agawam, Avon, E Club, East Hartford, Farmington, Glastonbury, Hartford, Holyoke, Manchester, Kensington-Berlin, New Britain-Berlin, New Milford, Salsbury, South Windsor, West Hartford, West Springfield, Wethersfield, Rocky Hill, and Windsor-Windsor Locks.
